Boomerang Radio launches on DAB in Cambridge
Boomerang Radio has expanded its DAB Digital Radio coverage to Cambridge.
The presenter team features several well-known names across Cambridgeshire, including Gary Ball and Gavin Samways - formerly of Q103 and Cambridge Red 107.9, Matt Webb - formerly of Star Radio and Cambridge 105 Radio and Jo Bailey - who was at BBC Radio Cambridgeshire in the early 2000s.
Bill Hensley, Managing Director said:
"Boomerang Radio is built on local values. Truly local radio is back for Cambridgeshire with local interviews, instantly recognisable music that you can sing a long too, and some really strong voices on air. I am really proud of what we have achieved so far and expanding our coverage to Cambridge".
The station initially launched online at the end of October 2025, broadcasting via the website boomerangradio.co.uk, mobile app and on smart speakers. The station launched on DAB+ in Peterborough in January 2026.
You can listen to Boomerang Radio on DAB+ via the Cambridge 2 multiplex with the station appearing towards the top of the list as 'Boomerang Cambs'.
As part of the changes, listeners in Peterborough will notice a slight change to the station name displayed on their radios, which is now 'Boomerang Pboro'.
The news comes as Boomerang Radio has also launched on Radioplayer, meaning listeners can enjoy the station in more ways than ever before including on connected televisions, through the Amazon Firestick and Roku devices, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay plus the Radioplayer apps for Android and Apple iOS.
