Boomerang Radio has launched on DAB Digital Radio across Huntingdon and St Neots, as it continues to be the area's fastest growing radio station.

Boomerang can already be heard on digital radio in Peterborough and Cambridge.

The addition of Huntingdonshire means the station can be heard across a long swathe of the A14 and A1 corridor in Cambridgeshire.

Boomerang Radio was created by Bill Hensley, former station manager at HCR FM in Huntingdon, alongside a strong management team of former radio professionals from the area and has been an instant success.

The station launched with a presenter team that features well-known Cambridgeshire names. Gavin Samways, Paul Jackson, David Mortimer, Paul Higgs, Jo Bailey, Vince Edwards, Laura Pittson, Matt Webb and Gary Champion are all within the on-air team.

Chris Tibbles, Head of Programming, who presents Boomerang Breakfast, having worked with various radio stations across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire throughout his career said:

"I love waking up Cambridgeshire each day. I have all the information for the county, the occasional interview, features and competitions to get involved in, a bit of a giggle along the way and music you will struggle to turn off".

The station originally launched online at the end of October 2025, broadcasting through the website, mobile apps and on smart speakers.
